Career
Her height helped her in starting her career as a TV anchor for the program Top Ten aired on Asianet Channel. She is a versatile singer also. She acted in a small role in a Malayalam film Pathram in 1999. Later she acted in hit films like Millennium Stars, Njangal Santhushtaraanu, Sraddha etc.
She acted opposite top actors in Malayalam film industry including Superstar Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi, Jayaram etc. Later she shifted to Kollywood starring in films like Middle Class Madhavan, Samudhiram etc. She acted opposite Prabhu, Sharath Kumar, Arjun etc. in Tamil. Her first Tamil film was Vanavil opposite Arjun. The biggest film of her career is Virumaandi opposite Acting Legend Kamal Hassan. She won lot of critical accolades for the role she portrayed in the film. Besides Tamil and Malayalam, she acted in Telugu and Kannada films and was a popular actress in Tollywood. she acted opposite Superstar Upendra in the film Raktha Kanneeru in 2004.and in Sriram opposite superstar Shivrajkumar She is also an excellent poet and a trained costume/hair stylist.
Before acting in films, She acted in a 100 episode Malayalam serial Akshaya Pathram by Sreekumaran Thampy. She also starred as a child artist in renowned director Adoor Gopalakrishnan's movie Kathapurushan.
