Hansika Motwani born 9 August 1991 is an Indian actress and a former child actress. She has worked in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Tamil films.

Early life
Hansika Motwani was born in Mumbai, India. Her father Pradeep Motwani is a businessman, and her mother is Seema Motwani, a dermatologist. Hansika attended Podar International School, Mumbai and enrolled for BA in political science at Cambridge University, London as correspondence course. Hansika mainly speaks Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, English, Hindi and Tulu, although her native tongue is Sindhi. She is learning Tamil as she made debut in the Tamil film industry.
Career
She began her television career with a serial called Shakalaka Boom Boom, a story about a boy named Sanju and his magic pencil. Simultaneously, she also enacted a child role in the Indian serial Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chaand, for which she received the Favorite Child Award at the Star Parivaar Awards. She also appeared as one of the children in Koi Mil Gaya with Preity Zinta and Hrithik Roshan.
Hansika made her debut in a lead role in Puri Jagannadh's Telugu film, Desamuduru, starring opposite Allu Arjun. The film was about a crime reporter who falls in love with a sanyasini, played by Hansika.
Hansika made her debut as a leading actress in Bollywood with Himesh Reshammiya in Aap Kaa Surroor – The Real Luv Story. She played the role of Himesh Reshammiya's lover Ria. The film was released on 29 June 2007 and was a moderate hit. She will also appear in the Hindi film titled He: The Only One, where she will be essaying the role of a killer, hell-bent on taking revenge for her family.
Hansika made her Kannada debut in Bindaas with Puneet Rajkumar. The film was released on 15 February 2008. She paired with Jr. NTR in the film Kantri, which was released in May 2008. The film was a moderate hit. She made her Tamil film debut in the 2011 film Mappillai opposite Dhanush, following which her next Tamil film Engeyum Kadhal opposite Jayam Ravi released. She is currently working on two more Tamil projects Velayudham opposite Vijay and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Career
Deeksha participated at the Femina Miss India beauty pageant in 2009 and was a finalist. She then made her acting debut in Krish's 2010 film Vedam, portraying Pooja, the rich girlfriend of the lead character Cable Raju (Allu Arjun). In quick succession, she signed two more films, with the Ravi Teja-starrer Mirapakaay releasing next, which emerged a high commercial success The action drama Wanted with Gopichand, which constituted her debut as a lead female character, released after Mirapakaay and bombed at the box office. She has been signed for three more projects, Rebel alongside Prabhas and Anushka Shetty, Nippu opposite Ravi Teja again,and her first Tamil film Suseenthiran's Rajapaattai with Vikram.

Personal life
She is the daughter of the late actor Vinod Mehra from his third and last wife Kiran. She was less than two years old when her father died in October 1990. Since then she was brought up in Kenya with her brother Rohan by her maternal grandparents. completed her education in London. Soniya went to school at The Mombasa Academy in Mombasa, Kenya. She began her training in acting at the age of eight in school where she completed up to the Gold Medal with an Honours at The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts Acting Examinations. She also took a short course at The Arts Educational Schools of London. When she was 17 she moved back to Bombay in Jan 2005 and joined Anupam Khers 'Actor Prepares' where she did a 3 month course.
